How To Share Your Content More Than Once
Social media networks are a great place for people to learn about what’s going on in the world. People post photos, opinions and entertaining content in their feeds to share with their friends. Businesses are embracing social media. Social media is a great way to share content, especially your hospitality blog post.
In a previous article, we talked about why you should share to your social network. You know it’s important to use the right social networks to get the best return on your investment of time and money. Picking the right social network is only the first step in the process. You want to make sure you’re posting your content when your prospects will see it. To do this, you can share content more than once.
Fast-Paced Social Networks
The most popular social media networks are fast-paced. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are great examples of this. What people see in their newsfeed changes quickly. On Twitter alone, there are new updates every two to three seconds.
What does this mean for you?
When you share content on these networks, your prospects may not see it unless they are looking at their feed at that time. How can you make sure your content is seen by your followers?
Share New Content Many Times
It’s common to share content more than once, especially on the day it’s released. However, there are some rules to follow.
1) Spread the social media shares throughout the day.
You don’t want to be seen as a spammer by your followers. You also want to reach different groups of your followers. If all your social shares are within 20 minutes of each other, you’ll only reach a small percentage of your followers. This defeats the purpose of sharing multiple times.
2) Share 2 to 3 times for regular content.
When you share content that isn’t time-sensitive, sharing a few times is best. You don’t want to overwhelm readers. You can share more for big events or sales.
3) Change the wording slightly each time you post the same content.
Some people will find your headline interesting while others will find a fact or statistic interesting enough to click on it. Changing the wording of your social media and update widens the appeal of your blog post to more of your audience.
Use social media networks to share your new blog post. It’s one of the best ways to let your readers know there’s new content if you don’t have their email address. No matter which social network you use, create a few unique posts to share each new piece of content. We’ll talk about how to do this in the next article in this series.
